Verify it yourself: the network-tab walkthrough

   Open the developer tools

   On any RowDocs tool page, press F12 (or Cmd-Option-I on a Mac, Ctrl-Shift-I on Windows). This is the browser's own instrument panel — nothing we control.

   Switch to the Network tab

   It records every single request this page makes from now on. Click the clear button (⃠) so you start from an empty list.

   Drop a real file and run a split

   Use a file that actually matters to you — that is the point. Pick a column, run the split, download the results.

   Read the list

   Nothing. Not during parsing, not during the split, not when the files download. No POST, no upload, no analytics ping — there is no analytics script on this site at all. The work happened on your machine, and the empty list is the proof.

What you will see in the list — named honestly

The network tab is not empty when a page first loads, and pretending otherwise would defeat the purpose of this page. Here is everything that legitimately appears:

• Page loads. The HTML, stylesheets, scripts, and fonts that draw the page itself — all served from this site. The tool engines (the code that parses Excel and CSV and writes PDFs) load as script files the first time you drop a file. Code comes down to you; your data never goes up.
• Analytics: none. There is no analytics script on this site — no Google Analytics, no third-party tracker, and no cookies of any kind. We removed Google Analytics rather than ask you to dismiss a consent banner on a page whose whole argument is that we do not touch your data. So the list really is just the page itself.

What you will never see: your file, its name, or anything read out of it leaving this page — no POST, no upload, at any point, on any tier. That is the whole claim, and it is checkable on every run.

What local processing does not protect against

Local processing means we never see your files. It does not make your machine itself safe, and it would be dishonest to imply otherwise:

• Shared computers. The files you generate land in your Downloads folder (or wherever your browser saves), readable by anyone who can use that machine. On a shared or public computer, clean up after yourself — RowDocs cannot do it for you.
• Where your downloads end up. Once a split file or generated PDF is on disk, it is an ordinary file: synced by whatever syncs that folder, backed up by whatever backs it up, attached to whatever you attach it to. Local processing covers the processing — not what happens to the outputs afterwards.
• Browser extensions. Extensions you have granted page access can read what happens on any page, including this one. We never see your files; an extension with broad permissions might. If you work with sensitive data, audit your extensions — for every site, not just this one.
